Jason G. Watkins, CMP

Director of Global Accounts

Jason serves as a Global Account Executive for ConferenceDirect and is based in Arlington, VA. Prior to joining ConferenceDirect, Jason held senior level meetings positions for three Washington DC professional associations. In those roles he developed, planned and executed meetings ranging in size from 20 to 7,000 attendees. Connect Magazine recognized Jason’s work in 2012 when he was named a Forty Under 40 honoree for his accomplishments in the meetings industry. In 2013 Jason was named a Forty Under 40 Award honoree for his work as an association and nonprofit professional by the Association Forum of Chicagoland and USAE newspaper.

In his position at ConferenceDirect, Jason provides hotel contract negotiation and various conference management services for clients with meetings ranging in size from 18 to 9,000 attendees. Jason’s extensive industry experience has proven invaluable when it comes to representing his customers while negotiating hotel contracts and managing meetings on their behalf.

Jason is active in the Potomac Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), where he currently serves as Vice President of Finance. He has been active in PCMA, ASAE, and CESSE. Jason is a graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA where he earned a degree in Political Science. He currently volunteers as a member of Dickinson’s Regional Development Council based in Washington, DC.
